Summer Move-Out – Housing & Residential Education

Staying on Campus for fall? If you wish to remain on campus during August break and have a fall housing reservation, please opt-in for Break Housing by completing the End of Semester Plans form in Housing U.

The form will be available beginning June 26 at 8:00 am MST and the deadline is July 24 at 8:00 am MST in Housing U. If you have questions about August Break Housing sign-ups after this deadline, please contact our office.

Please Note: All summer 2023 residents are required to fill out the End of Semester Plans form in Housing U by 11:59 p.m. on July 21st.

Move-out Steps & Instructions

Step 1	Clean your space and remove all belongings. Any belongings remaining in the space after check-out will be removed, the student charged for that removal, and these items will enter Housing & Residential Education's abandoned property process.
Step 2	Clean and defrost rented refrigerators and microwaves from College Products. You will leave them in your room.
Step 3	Required: Prior to leaving campus, stop by your area's front desk.
Step 4	Complete the check-out process prior to May 6 at 2pm. This includes: Complete a move-out envelope and return your key(s) to the front desk. Failure to return keys will result in a $125 lock change fee. Failure to check-out with the front desk staff will result in a $100 improper check-out fee. Resident's must complete their own check-out process, a designee may not return a key(s) for another individual.
Step 5	Be sure to verify the status of your mail services via the front desk: Ensure that all mail logged for you has been collected, including from package lockers (verify via an email check for any messages from Pack City). Confirm that your mail forwarding address is correct. Housing & Residential Education cannot forward packages or governmental mail, so please be sure that these addresses are updated with senders. Ensure that you have an up-to-date email for our staff members to reach you.

Housing & Residential Education Student Affairs

All residence halls will close on August 5, 2023, at 2 p.m. Your move-out should be completed within 24 hours of your last final exam.

Summer 1 Term ONLY residents should anticipate moving out by June 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
