Honors First Year Communities


First Year Honors logoHonors College Living Learning Communities (LLCs)

LLCs are designed to bring smaller groups of students together within a residence hall. These groups create a small network of Honors students who take one or more required Honors course during their first year of college. The groups will also participate in out of class co-curricular activities. Honors students are permitted to live in any location that they are eligible for, including traditional housing.
- Small groups of Honors students living in the Honors residences
- 1-2 required Honors courses
- Designed for first-year housing students
- Community out of class special events and programming
- First year spots in Kahlert Village Honors Tower

** Accepted students can apply for Honors Housing through their CIS portal in the Housing U application

1.5 credits in each semester

  • HONOR 1010 (Fall)
  • HONOR 1020 (Spring)
Who Selects Residents?
The Honors College selects Honors students at random when students indicate a preference for Honors Housing through their Housing U application.
