First-Year Housing Application Opens
First-year students begin applying today in Housing U in CIS. Complete the application by filling out personal information, indicating Living Learning & Theme Community interest, and paying the $130 application fee.

First-Year Living Learning Community (LLC) & Theme Community (TC) Application Deadline
Apply by the LLC/TC deadline to participate in LLC/TC roommate matching and LLC/TC room selection. Applications received after the LLC deadline will participate in the traditional housing process. However, if space in a selected LLC/TC becomes available, students who applied after the deadline can still be considered for the LLC/TCs they indicated. Please note that late LLC/TC applicants are not able to match with roommates or select housing during the LLC/TC room selection week.

Check your UMail for a decline, waitlist, or offer from your selected LLC/TCs. Offers represent a guaranteed bed in the community (room type is not guaranteed).
Please note that if you receive an offer from a selected LLC/TC or a waitlist offer, the student must accept it. Failure to act by the decision deadline will default your offer answers to a decline.

Decision Deadline: First-Year Living Learning Community (LLC) & Theme Community (TC)
Students who do not respond by this date will have their offers treated as a “decline,” and the student will move to the traditional housing process.
NOTE: An LLC/TC waitlist offer is not guaranteed housing, and students on this waitlist should anticipate following the Traditional Housing Process. Housing & Residential Education will contact any waitlisted students if a bed opens in their preferred LLC/TC community.

Living Learning Community (LLC) & Theme Community (TC) Roommate Matching
First Year LLC roommate matching happens as soon as the student accepts the offer (between April 1 and April 8) and continues through April 14 at 11:59 pm MST.
On Wednesday, April 17 students will be notified via Umail their LLC room selection times.

APRIL 29-May 5, 2024
Traditional Housing Roommate Matching
Utilize the roommate tool in Housing U in CIS to create a roommate group. Students can start matching with roommates on April 29 through 11:59 pm on May 5. Email notifications on selection times will be sent on May 8.
MAY 3, 2024
First-Year Traditional Housing Priority Deadline
Apply by this date to create a roommate group and participate in the first round of traditional housing room reservations.
MAY 13-17, 2024
First Round of First-Year Traditional Housing Room Selection
Each roommate group or student is given a randomized room selection time and day of the week.
