The University of Utah Housing & Residential Education (HRE) is seeking volunteers to be part of the UCREW, the team who welcomes more than 5,000 students to campus every fall.
Open to all U of U faculty, staff, and upper division students, HRE is seeking volunteers for at least two of the four move-in days—August 15 to 18, with the help most needed on August 15 to 17, with each volunteer working a 3.5-hour shift.
- Volunteers’ tasks are:
-Assisting with unloading vehicles
-Helping deliver resources around campus to staff, students, and volunteers
-Managing traffic and vehicles in unloading zones
-Directional assistance around buildings
-Red cart wrangling - Participants receive a UCREW T-shirt for their support.

Save these dates on your calendar, share them with your team, and please join HRE in welcoming our new and returning resident students to campus!
We ask volunteers to sign-up by July 17. UCREW volunteers are the #1 reason move-in goes so smoothly at the U, and we could not complete our move-in processes without your partnership and efforts.
Questions about UCREW or the move-in process? Please contact Anna Dickherber, associate director for resident services and chief of staff to the executive director of HRE, at adickherber@housing.utah.edu.
